Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
RiverwalkMiles.run is a community mileage tracker for the Tennessee Riverwalk in Chattanooga, TN. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can delete it.
What we collect
When you connect your Strava account we store your Strava athlete ID, first name, profile photo
URL, and OAuth access tokens. We also store GPS and distance data from your Strava activities
solely to calculate miles logged on the Tennessee Riverwalk. If you join the leaderboard, we
store the display name you choose.
What we don't collect
We do not collect your email address, location, or any data beyond what is needed to calculate
Riverwalk mileage. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.
How we use your data
Your data is used only to display your personal mileage totals and, if you opt in, your display
name on the community leaderboard. If you enable the auto-append feature, we write a mileage
summary to your Strava activity descriptions on your behalf.
Data storage
All data is stored on a private server. Strava OAuth tokens are stored securely and never
exposed publicly.
Strava API monitoring
Strava may monitor and collect usage data related to your access to the Strava API through
this application, and may use that data for business purposes including platform improvements
and compliance with their terms. This applies whenever you use RiverwalkMiles.run to access
Strava data. For full details see the
Strava Privacy Policy
and
Strava API Agreement.
Deleting your data
You can disconnect your account and delete all stored data at any time from the
Settings page. This also revokes our access to
your Strava account.
